Rarely are we privileged with the opportunity to see these top-secret flies that only my Uncle Ken can tie. The last time I was using them, the DNR came and checked my line and told me that it was unethical to use something so effective. In fact, Utah has teamed up with 7 other western states to try to make them illegal, and there is a good chance that you will no longer be able to fish them after 2014. Without further adieu, I present three weapons of trout destruction.

Hahaha. I think the fatty longtail is soon to be my new favorite. This was a great education video. As for the dubbing, could i substitute any other breeds or should i stick with the recomended flavor?
ReplyDeleteThere's no April foolin" me. Those flies are the creation of Pavlik. Uncle Ken been stealin' patterns again!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any eagle feathers around right now, but i'd love to buy 3 fatty long tails. I'll go through a social experiment- only fishing those flies until I catch a fish. I will bet I can catch a fish the first time out with one of those.
ReplyDeleteDo you guys sell skunk???? Gotta tie up some cooter specials.
ReplyDeleteDifferent materials and tying techniques, man my tying is going to be stellar! Can not wait to show the guys in my local tying club the new patterns I've found!! Just goes to show you can use anything and tie a great fly. LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can show them, but then you will have to kill them... Glad you enjoyed Uncle Ken...
