Yellow Starburst (AKA Ham and Eggs)

If it's not broken don't fix it right?  We recently did a trip with a bunch of buddies to one of our normal stillwater spots, and the fish were in all the usual places and they were eating all the usual flies.  About mid day I had caught a lot of fish, but I wanted to mess around with some different lines and flies to see if I could get a different reaction from the fish.  I also wanted to practice some different techniques because I knew there were willing fish that would eat other things if all else failed.  There was a group of 4 of us who were fishing midge tip lines and chironomids and callibaetis, so I naturally tied on a parabolic line with a FAB (Foam Arse Blob).  The concept of that fly line is that its a type 3 sink on the tip, the belly is a type 5, and the running line is a type 3.  Essentially you are presenting your flies in a U-shape so you can cover several depths during your retrieve.  I opted to fish a three fly rig with each fly about 5 feet apart, the top dropper was a tungsten head Squirrel Leech, the middle fly was a diawl bach, and the point fly was a FAB in a new color that our buddy Kieron Jenkins showed me.  If you have fished blobs or FABs you know that they are typically best on lakes with stocked rainbows, but in this case, the brookies VORACIOUSLY ate them.  I forgot what Kieron had called the color combo, so I was just calling it the Yellow Starburst (He later confirmed that it's called ham and eggs, but he said he liked Yellow Starburst too...)  The recipe for the yellow starburst is listed below!
