The Hare's Ear nymph is probably one of two flies that everybody has in their fly box at any time. It can imitate a stonefly, cadddis, mayfly, etc. but most importantly, it looks like FOOD. I'm convinced that there is some type of pre-determined DNA in trout that tells them to eat hare's ears. We kind of simplified this one by taking off the wing case, and we added a huge bead to allow it to get down to where the fish live and eat. Enough typing... Check out the video and tie them in size 10-18.
