If there is one thing that I've learned as I progress in my nymphing skills, it's that you don't always need a huge heavy fly to fish at depth. In fact, there are many instances when a fly that has a lot of appendages will hang up in the water column even though it has a huge bead and a lot of lead wraps. This fly is basically just thin profile nymph pattern that can be morphed into many different colors, and it can also be modified for weight just based on what size of a bead you put on it. This video shows a size 16 fly with a 3.5mm bead on it, but you could tie the same size 16 with a lighter bead as well. Tie bombs and GET DOWN!!
