Like many flies that come off of my vise, I huck them into a bowl of water to see if they will ride like I want them to, and then on to the fishing.
**UPDATE: This pattern has been around now for a few years and has done very well both on the warm water but has also done well with the Trout. So the Trout version was named the "Transfoamer" and is available for purchase on our store here.
